Facelift (Rhytidectomy):
A facelift is designed to help the sagging tissue of the face in the area of the lower face, jaw line, and neck. It corrects the tissue of the jaw line and neck while minimally affecting the deep creases between the nostrils and the corners of the mouth. A facelift will not eliminate the wrinkles around the eyes (crow’s feet), fine wrinkles on the face, or lip lines.
A facelift may last 5-10 years. It is an out-patient procedure, which may take approximately 3 hours or up to 6 if combined with other procedures such as eyelid surgery, forehead/brow lift, laser resurfacing, or rhinoplasty (nasal surgery).
